The ceramic division of Platronics Seals started back in the Mid 80’s as Tech-Ceram Corporation in Amesbury, MA. In 1997 the company was sold to ART Advanced Refractory Technologies then to Tyco Electronics in 2000.  Since 2000 the company changed hands twice and in February of 2010 Platronics acquired the operation and moved it to its state-of-the-art headquarters in Spartanburg, SC.

Platronics Seals is a privately held company with more than 40 years of experience in manufacturing high-quality ceramic and glass-to-metal seal packages for the semiconductor, aerospace, automotive and telecommunications industries.
